About Me
Thus far, life has shown me that as humans we have a deep and inherent capacity to heal, love, and thrive, and sometimes our histories and life circumstances can challenge this capacity.

My lived experience with chronic pain, trauma, and depression, have allowed me to truly understand and hold empathy for others' experiences with such challenges. These experiences have given me the opportunity to witness both the highs and lows of the human experience and to further garner the skills I believe make me an effective counsellor.
It is my intention as your counsellor to create a safe space for you to navigate these challenges and to guide you through them with compassion, empathy, and humility. I do so through a trauma- informed, culturally sensitive, and anti-oppressive lens. I bring a sense of humour, silliness, and my wholehearted self to every session.

I recognize that the exploration of your past, your feelings and your physical sensations can sometimes be intense and uncomfortable, and I truly believe that through this work, you come out on the other side having a deeper and more secure connection to yourself, others, and the world around you.

My Specialties Include:Trauma, Sex Therapy, Couples Therapy, Relational Issues, Grief, & Chronic Pain
Trauma
Sex Therapy
Couples Therapy
Whether you have experienced acute trauma, chronic trauma, or complex trauma, it can take a toll on the mind, body, and soul. Trauma can affect relationships, work, daily tasks, and how one shows up in the world. Therapy can aid in finding ways to cope, manage, and change the experience of traumatic symptoms.
Sex, sexuality, sexual identity, and intimacy are some of the tough topics to talk about, but some of the most important. Together we can identify areas that are challenging, and work together to face them with openness, curiosity, and with a sex positive attitude.
Adult intimate relationships are some of the most rewarding relationships we will experience, and they come with often complex challenges. Together in couples therapy, we will navigate these challenges and find tools to help build strong and long lasting relationships.
Relational Issues
Grief
Chronic Pain
How we relate, interact, and connect with others and how we show up in our relationships is often a product of our relational experiences in early childhood, and is shaped by many different things across time. Together in therapy, we can explore ways to shift relational experiences and show up differently in relationships with others.
Grief is often associated with loss, more often in terms of the passing of someone we know and love. However, grief can show up in so many different ways for many different reasons. Together we can hold space for the grief and find ways to make navigating the experience of grief a little easier.
Chronic pain can often feel exhausting, unfair, and can be the fuel for other mental health issues. Together, we can find ways to manage the emotional and cognitive pain, and in turn learn to navigate the physical pain in a way that allows you to live a little lighter.
